Hi,
Sunday, February 9 is Scout Sunday. This is an opportunity for Cub Pack 466 and Girl Scout Troop 2806 (both of which meet at St. John Eudes) to thank the church for providing a place to meet and conduct our fundraising.
We are asking for volunteers to help at the 9am Mass on Sunday, February 9. Here are the areas where we need help:
- Greet at the door - arrive 8:40am
- Opening procession - ALL SCOUTS, Flag bears will be chosen that morning. They will be trained that morning.
- Sitting together on the south side (Lassen side) of the church with families invited to sit with us.
- Collect Money - arrive 8:20am, You will be trained when you arrive- PLEASE RSVP IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS!!!!! You must be at least 3rd graders.
- Altar servers: Current scouts will get first dibs. We will then ask Pack 466 and Troop 2806 alumni who are also altar servers to volunteer. (If you are not in complete uniform and groomed nicely, we will substitute - you will not be wearing Albs)
- Gift bearers: All those little cubs that go to dismissal, and a couple girl scouts that go to help round them up, can take the gifts up - we will be choosing those people on the spot
- Info booth: presiding at an info booth after Mass to answer questions about scouts.
A blessing will be given by Deacon Sargon or priest either after homily or before dismissal.
Religious Emblems and Eagle, Silver: will be acknowledged, or awarded for cubs / and a thank you given to parish!!!
Please let me know what volunteer task your scout wants to perform. Note this is a Class A Uniform event.
