Hi Hackers!

Our next meeting is this upcoming Monday, September 24 at 6:00pm in DLC 1B70 (same room as last week). Evan Ram will be presenting a talk on Java reverse engineering! A brief description, in his words:

"Commercial software and malware often uses special tools (obfuscators and crypters) to confuse reverse engineers. However, any code that lives on your machine can be cracked no matter how "secured" it is. Come learn how to reverse engineer cryptic Java apps.

Attendees will benefit with at least an entry-level experience writing code, but they do not need to know Java. The techniques I show can be applied to most common programming languages. All source code will be public online. I will emphasize the take-away concepts over the nitty-gritty code details (although I am happy to get into specifics if club members want)."

There will be snacks, as always. We'll see you there!

Best,
The Cybersecurity Club team

Daniel Kim

Hi,

I won't be able to attend but was wondering where this info will be made public?
