Good evening everyone

The install at Airwolf was a huge success and backbone links are up and running. We did ourselves a huge favor in doing this site over, we done away old mesh type topology and have a neat easy to follow star topology routing structure to follow. The new link to pro99 is performing very well last i checked it was syncing at 120mbs and the ccq was in the 90's (the bandwidth test almost 80mbs combined)which is awesome news. We should take into consideration that the install of the netbox ac equipment hasn't happened on pro99 side i'm guesstimating that the sync could be pushed up to -+200mbs when the project is completed.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved

Donations
Too many to mention but this project has taken a lekka hap out of our funds
Also thank you to Bothasig area for their donations towards the new link to pro99.

Lastly thanks to Dan for sorting out the routing

The sooner we can get  a date to sort out Pro99 side of this link the better for all of us, we also at the same time need to test the nextlevel groove at pro99 to see why  the receiving is not working to good.

Good evening everyone

I will be available on Sunday for the upgrade at my place (Pro99)

Could you just tell me what we need to do the upgrade.

I need to know beforehand so that I can buy the equipment

Hi Ampie

I'm not 100% sure what Bruce is planning. But what I do know is that the Airwolf  netbox-dish will be going up and that we will test the nextlevel link it seems that the groove on you side could have a rx problem.

This should not take longer that 2 hours seeing that no cables will be laid. Or maybe Bruce has other plans I did hear something about a sector going up. Sunday is fine with me.

Hi Ogon/Pro99

Michael, I added a RB750 and 8 port POE to the upgrade, in hind sight, it may be better to get a RB260GSP and an outdoor enclosure with the money, would that be possible?   If so, how would I go about changing the project?

I have a Sector and Basebox for the upgrade, which belongs to the area, so nothing needed there. (I wanted to use the existing RB711 for this, but it only has a L3 license, so wouldn’t work as a sector. The Basebox will work fine though)

Pro99, the only thing you will need, if we get the RB260 and enclosure, is power to the bottom of the pole.

While we are putting up the new equipment facing AW, I would like to turn the existing dish and RB711 towards Nextlevel, as the grid/groove appears to be faulty.

Sunday should be fine with me.

Bruce

I suggest you write to the committee and ask to change to 260gsp and tell them why, it also need to be a accompanied by your new finance request.  Also ask if the difference in money could be allocated to bothasig for future projects.
