Dear all,

while tracking the .ufmf file I get good results for single identities, but without any reason they are switching them. Even when they are far away from each other. I have only 3 or 5 specimen, so it is not overcrowded.

Has anybody an idea, what setting is causing that problem or how to solve it?

Sincerely
Marc

Hi Marc
I would check your motion parameters. Do you have a lot of trajectory births and deaths (more tracks than animals) or is it swapping existing IDs?
In the second case, you can reduce the 'jump' distance for example if your animals don't jump. In the first, I would check your background image and thresholding settings.

Hey Alice,

thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately it's not changing anything. I have set Min. and Max. Distance to 1.0.
Background and threshold seem good because I get my specimens clearly shaped without any disturbances.

Hey Alice,

I played around with some other options and now it's working. Thanks for your help.
