Hi,

A quick query: Can Ctrax provide wing data?

I require wing data of flies for classification purposes.
While working with the JAABA, I came across an option in the prepare data part where it asks us what tracking system we have used to generate the tracks.
It shows a list of tracking system and one of them is "Ctrax + wing tracker (flies)".

I was wondering if there is any other source code or older version of the tracker that can be used in conjunction with Ctrax?

Hoping for some insights. Thank you.

Best,
Faizah

Sorry for the late response.

The Ctrax +wing tracker target type uses the 'simple wing tracker' code included in the supplement to our 2017 Cell paper.
Alternatively you could use the Caltech FlyTracker by Eyrun Eyjolfsdottir which tracks wings https://github.com/kristinbranson/FlyTracker. I believe this data can be input into JAABA with the target type eyrun_flies.
Cheers

Oh okay, I'll check that out.
