Problem Adding video to ctrax

Hello!

I have been using ctrax on a particular computer in my lab and everything had been working perfectly fine but now all of a sudden when I try to add my video files I get a message saying "NameError: global name 'filename' is not defined" and the video I want to add to batch processing won't add. If anyone knows a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ari,

I'm sorry it doesn't seem to be working for you, but Ctrax hasn't been maintained in quite a while, so it has begun accumulating issues. My hunch is it's most likely a conflict with a newer version of an operating system, but it's also possible it will work if you restart Ctrax or otherwise vary your order of operations. I wish I had a better answer!

Hi Ari

Sorry to hear that. I always run my videos in any2ufmf first and then the video files open easily in ctrax and the tracking process run smoothly.

You can try one of your video and see if it works.

Thank you for your suggestions! I was moving stuff around on the computer before it stopped working so I might have deleted something by accident that I needed to run the files. I found reconverting them and renaming them worked perfectly!
