Company had issued Compulsory convertible preference shares to investors somewhere in month of june 2019 and as per shareholders agreement after 3 years the investor securities will be converted in to equity Shares.
But after 3-4 months of allotment of preference shares, investors were demanding money back so the company has made the payment in their account...
So now how should company treat this transaction?? please guide.

Pass resolution, change the terms of ccps to OCPS or RPS and redeem shares.
