Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

I would like to share that I had faced a similar issue last year regarding the delay in PAN and TAN allotment.

As per the applicable rules, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and the Central Registration Centre (CRC) are not at fault in such cases, as they are unable to issue the Certificate of Incorporation (COI) without the generation of PAN and TAN.

In this situation, I would suggest taking the following steps on an urgent basis:

  1. Write to NSDL highlighting the delay and requesting expedited processing.

  2. Raise the matter on X (formerly Twitter) by tagging NSDL and the Income Tax Department to escalate visibility.

  3. Visit your jurisdictional Income Tax Office and meet the concerned officer personally. Explain that your work is getting impacted due to the delay and request them to kindly expedite the issuance.

  4. Also, request clarity on the reason for the delay so that any underlying issue can be addressed promptly.

Since this directly impacts the incorporation process and other time-sensitive activities, I would strongly recommend pursuing all the above steps simultaneously for faster resolution.

Please feel free to reach out if you need any assistance in drafting the communication or escalation.
