Procedure for the society registration in the following.
Procedure for Society Registration
Documents Required
1. List of Members
2. Pan Card of Applicants
3. Proof of Residence of Applicants
4. Mobile number
5. Email ID
6. Memorandum of Association
7. Covering Letter
8. Address Proof for Registered office
9. Self-Declaration
MOA signed by Gazetted Officer, Notary Public, Chartered Accountant, Advocate, Magistrate of First Class with their official stamping and complete address.
MOA must contains the name of the society and details of the members with their names, addresses, designations, and occupations.
The following document has to be prepared, submitted and signed for the sake of registration:
· Requesting society registration by providing covering letter, signed by all establishing members.
· Duplicate copy of Memorandum of Association of society along with certified copy.
· Duplicate copy of Rules & Regulations of society along with duplicate copy duly signed by all establishing members.
· Address proof of registered office of society as well as no-objection certificate (NOC) issued by landlord.
· Affidavit avowed by secretary or president of society declaring relationship among subscribers.
Rules & Regulation section includes the followings clauses
· Membership clause
· Subscription clause
· Meeting clause
· Committee/Governing Body Clause
· Auditor
· Legal Procedure
· Dissolution
MOA Clauses
· Name Clause
· Register office clause
· Objective clause
· General body Member clause and List
· Executive Body Members
Society compliances
A trust shall after its registration shall do the following:
· Obtain PAN card
· Open a bank account
· Book keeping and accounts
· Annual IT filings
· Professional tax registration, if applicable
· GST registration, if applicable
· Compliance with the Registrar of Firm - Filing of AGM resolution, accounts to be disclosed and member list to be filed with the Registrar of Firms.
List of Members
· For state – Minimum members required 7 or more
· For national – Minimum members required 8 or more (one member from Delhi) rest of members should be from different states
