 Respected  Members,

We are currently working on the shifting of the registered office from one state to another state. Our query is whether the applicable form is Form GNL-1 or GNL-2.

After reviewing various blogs and the instruction kit of the respective forms, it seems that GNL-1 is the applicable form. Some blogs mention GNL-1 (available in V2) as the appropriate form, while others mention GNL-2 (available in V3).

In GNL-1, it is stated that a board resolution should be passed for the purpose of making an application for any applicable documents.

Additionally, the purpose of FORM GNL-1 mentions that the user (applicant) can file an application seeking approval from the Registrar of Companies by submitting an application in eForm. Considering this information, it can be concluded that FORM GNL-1 (available in V2) is the applicable form.

Kindly confirm whether GNL-1 is  the applicable form or if GNL-2 should be used.

In shifting of registered office from one state to other approval of RD is required, you just need to file the documents to ROC. So just file GNL-2
