Stamp duty on share certificates

Dear Members,

Please reply what shall be stamp duty on share certificates issued in Haryana prior to 2014.

If shares are issued in 2012 in Haryana what shall be rate of stamp duty on share certificates.

Please reply as soon as possible.

It continues to be at 0.05% till date. Or refer amended Stamps Act as applicable to the State of Haryana amended by the State of Haryana.

Hi,

 

Stamp duty in the state of Haryana prior to 1^st October, 2013 was 40 naye paise as prescribed under Schedule I (for Haryana) of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. Kindly refer article 19 at page 106 of the enclosed PDF.

 

The Haryana Government vide notification dated 01.10.2013 changed the rate to 0.1% of the value of shares. The said notification is also enclosed.
