Conversion of Proprietorship Firm into LLP

Dear Members,

We have applied for the name application in Form RUN LLP for conversion of Proprietorship firm into LLP, but received a resubmission remark to provide Partnership deed. 

Is it necessary to convert a firm into a partnership firm before applying for an LLP?

Pls advise.

Hi,

Please note that conversion of sole proprietorship is not possible as sole proprietorship is not registered anywhere. It will be as good as incorporation of a new company/LLP, therefore apply for RUN with New Company (others) in Type of Company section.
