In case of Death of Auditor, do we need to file ADT - 3

In that case you will have to pass a board resolution within 30 days of his death & file an application with the Central Government in e-form ADT-2

Because its not resignation in this case. It's removal of an auditor before the expiry of his term.

its not a removal of Auditor.

its a automatic cessation of office of Auditor

Then don't file ADT-3 since it's a form to be filed by the resigning auditor & in this case auditor's DSC cannot be used to certify the form. 

Hence call a board meeting & pass a resolution for the same (by casual vacancy). Thereafter you can file ADT-1 for appointing a new auditor & enter the SRN of ADT-1 (filed by the erstwhile Auditor, filed by him during his appointment). Earlier it used to ask SRN of ADT-3. But now it's SRN of ADT-1.
