Filing of PAS -6

Please guide me. Whether PAS - 6 needs to be filed for Private Companies as well who were holding the ISIN Number as in 31st march 2024?

I feel concerned Rule for filing PAS-6 is appliacble to private company w.e.f. end of 18 months from 31.03.23 

i.e. 01.10.2024

Small companies are excluded from applicability

Hi all,

As per my understanding, it is required to be filed by all public unlisted companies for reconciliation of shares every 6 months. So it is not required in case of Private companies, unless their shares are dematerialised. 

Please confirm whether I am correct or not.

A co. has taken ISIN in the month of February and shares are in the process of being transferred in electronic form. Do I need to file PAS-6 for the period Oct'23 to Mar' 24?? Please guide me.

Hi Ankita 

As per my opinion, Since the provision for private companies would be applicable 1st October onwards, we will file the return for private companies in May 2025 for the period October 24 to March 25.
