What includes in Other intangible assets for purpose of Net-worth in DPT-3

Dear Member,

Please suggest in following query:

Our company have softwares and content developments as intangible assets.

Also our company has capitalized its advertisement expenses and shows as intangible assets in balance sheet's schedule.

 

Whether these shall be included in other intangible assets for the purpose of calculating net worth in dpt-3.

Yes software is considered as other intangible assets. Hence it will be considered for calculating net worth in DPT-3. I did it for my client recently. However the net worth will go down by virtue of it but the same will not have any impact anywhere since these are the figures pertaining to previous FY.

Yes, these are to be included in intangible assets, but the definitions of net worth u/s 2(57) of the Companies Act, 2013 is different from what you're showing in DPT-3.

Thus you need to attach a clarification for the same as optional attachment.
