I have no idea how https works.
BTW, this is removed. Can I provide good support for Crypto++ for my I/O library? If I am going to do so, which part should I support?

Crypto++ does not provide HTTP or HTTPS.
You should probably use Botan (
https://github.com/randombit/botan
) or OpenSSL (
https://github.com/openssl/openssl
).
