Jupiter is very high this year and is close to opposition, so I took advantage of the clear skies last night to capture it.  Taken from my back garden in Surrey.

C9.25 SCT on AZ-EQ6GT mount
Powermate 2.5x
IR cut filter
SVBony SV705C colour camera
Captured with SharpCap Pro
Processed with Autostakkert, Registax, WinJuPos, PS2
Approximately 15 minutes video capture total.

Thanks for looking.

That's a great image Trev. Lots of colour and detail including the red spot!
I guess Jupiter is bright enough not to be washed out by the bright Moon recently (unlike my attempts to image the Cave Nebula)!
Well done!

Out of interest, I tried derotating and stacking the same data in a new application I came across called LuckyStackWorker.  It is a lot less hassle then using WinJuPos andI think the result is slightly better.

 Trevor

Definitely much clearer details, on comparing to the original you posted.
