Yes, I know that you shouldn't do that.

Hi there.
I have a point-to-point race.
I can install the system, start, and then turn everything off, the equipment and the laptop, and transport everything to the finish and turn it on there.
Is it possible to continue the race in the program?
I only see the option of sending the result to the site.

Yes, you can close and exit a running race in CrossMgr and resume without losing the time or data. This can be proven using the demo race feature: Start CrossMgr and run a demo race, then close and exit CrossMgr (do not End the race).  Re-open CrossMgr and re-open the race, it will resume running and the clock will be correct.

Thanks Jonathan.
That's great!
I suspected that this would be provided.

Yes, CrossMgr will behave like the race ist still running after it is started - even if you turn off the computer and turn it on.

Pro tip (smart or lazy, you decide):

for p-2-p races, I often don't turn on the computer at all.
I just start the groups based on the time of day.

When I get to the finish line and set up the readers etc., I start the race, then do "Tools|Change Start Time" to set the start time back to the actual (earlier) start time.
You have to do this before any rider crosses the finish line.
This accomplishes the same thing as starting the race at the actual start time..

In this way, you don't have to be at the start if someone can reliably give you the start time.

Tnx, Edward.
Changing the start time of the race is also a good solution.
But it does not suit me.
I have to control which riders actually started.
And whether someone went in the wrong group (wave)

Fair enough.  Whatever works.
Confirming that CrossMgr behaves as if the race clock is still running even if it is closed and the computer is shut off.
