Hello,

I am trying to use CRISPRAnalyzer for read count data provided as demo, but getting the following error message (marked as read).

*******************************************
Unfortunately, the ENSEMBL biomaRt web-service seems to be offline. Please make sure you have set the proxy settings correctly. Otherwise, please try again later.
You can also get the latest ENSEMBL status updates on the Ensembl Blog.
You can check the proxy status on About CRISPRAnalyzeR.For further assistence please briefly describe your problem by either contacting us via email or the google forum.
*******************************************
Do I need to set a proxy for biomart? If yes, how can I do that?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers
Mithun

Hi Xiaofeng,

The problem was as fixed aumatically, however the CRISPRAnalyzer is a very fiddly tool. It was giving variety of errors messages when I try to use it. Perhaps try to use other tools which are available these days.

Cheers
Mithun

Often the biomart service disconnects if there are to many requests from one site. After a while this is fixed automatically, when there is less traffic.
