I am trying to run ABRA on depth-migrated gathers.  It runs, but the output is null.  Does anyone have a successful example job-deck?  Thank you.

I presume by null, you mean all dead traces?
I found a workfile from a few years ago, when I was testing processes. The input was not depth, but just some NMO-corrected gathers with a velocity trace at the start.

I will take it.  In my case, I am trying to compute residual moveout gamma on depth migrated traces, but I will see if I can get this flow to work first, and go from there.  Thanks again.

Lewis,
Steve Whitney (addressed above) might be able to give you advice on Abra.  He was the primary user of "Abra", "Ka", and "Dabra" at Conoco.

Dear Bill:

Thanks, Michael provided an ABRA job deck for use with time data.  I can see from his example that I had messed up a few parameters.  If Steve has something, that could be helpful as well.
I am trying to compute gamma on depth-migrated gathers, and right now I get zero.

I have my data in time now, and similar parameters to the example job deck.  Beta comes out as -1e+30, and that is not correct.  You can see my job flow set-up here, and the job log from my most recent test.  Nothing is obviously wrong to me, except of course for the results.  Thanks.

I got it to work.  Had to edit the job deck in vi to remove extra rows from the search window definition, but it works

Were you unable to delete rows in the ABRA process GUI?
If so, what linux distro are you using?

Yes, and Ubuntu 20.04LTS Focal Fossa

I tried ABRA with Ubuntu 20.04 and I could delete rows from the search function table.
However, when I ran the job, I noticed these messages as the end of the listing:
Error: memman_del_r1(-1046880808:0-0-) variable has not been previously nullified by memman
Error: memman_nul_r1(-1046880808:-1047145360-8-) variable has associated data, possible memory leak
Error: memman_del_r1(-1046880744:0-0-) variable has not been previously nullified by memman
Error: memman_nul_r1(-1046880744:-1047247696-8-) variable has associated data, possible memory leak
Error: memman_del_r1(-1046880680:0-0-) variable has not been previously nullified by memman
Error: memman_nul_r1(-1046880680:-1047145328-8-) variable has associated data, possible memory leak

These didn't appear when run in another linux distro, so it seems something is still corrupted in Ubuntu 20.04 build.
I used Kubuntu with gcc 9.3, openmpi 2.1.6 and Oracle java 8u221
