Hi,
I'm very new to working with Linux so I apologise if any of these are silly questions,

I am trying to install CP2K on Windows, following the instructions here:

I have tried the release 2025.2 and development versions, but the same problem happens each time.

All other dependencies install successfully, however at the LIBXC step it returns the line "Terminated" with no other error code.

Is it possible to install manually? Where and how would I do that?

My other issue is that the tutorial seems to imply that there is steps that should appear after the installation completes but because it keeps terminating at LIBXC how do I get around this to see those instructions?

Thank you if anyone knows how to help!!

I don't know how you install, but if you have problems wit LIBXC and don't need it, you can deactivate it:

A) using cmake:
cmake -DCP2K_USE_LIBXC=OFF

B) using the toolchain
   ./install_cp2k_toolchain.sh   --with-libxc=off

If you want more help you will need to provide more information (setup, error message).

Thank you that worked!

I'm still not sure what the actual error was since no detailed error message was displayed.
There's a small chance that the "Terminated" might have been due to a lack of memory since it appears similarly to the "Killed" text that is returned from an OOM kill.

Glad I have things working for now!!
