Error during compilation of ELPA in CP2K

Hello,

I am trying to install CP2K in ubuntu-20.4 system, with the following command line

./install_cp2k_toolchain.sh --install-all --with-mpich

However, the following errors appeared during installation of ELPA

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:30825: recipe for target 'elpa2_print_kernels_openmp' failed
make[1]: *** [elpa2_print_kernels_openmp] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/dks/softwares_tar_files/cp2k-9.1/tools/toolchain/build/elpa-2021.11.001/build_cpu'
Makefile:29870: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

I have also attached make.log from ELPA folder.

Any suggestions related to this are highly appreciated.

Dear Hadrik, dear all,

I second that, I've been getting this error a few versions in a row. I used just to disable ELPA, as I didn't plan to actually use MPI.

Dear Anton,

Using ./install_cp2k_toolchain.sh --install-all --with-openmpi solved the problem. This will install openmpi in the install directory with the same GNU compiler that has been used for the rest of the installation.
