Joel R. Kallman, the head of software development for Oracle APEX, died of Covid just days after receiving his second mRNA injection for Covid-19. He was 54. A lengthy eulogy praises Joel while failing to mention the fact that he was injected just prior to his death.

Some comments:

"He was proud for his work and for the oracle team for the creation and spread of the v-safe app - with v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine - Seems it's not quick enough."

"This is what happens when people buy into wild conspiracy theories about Chinese Germs floating around killing people, as if there is no immune system present inside the human body to protect against strange pathogens. When you put your trust in injections over nutrition and immunity, you end up doing wildly irrational things like lining up for experimental gene therapy injections."

Since it's always useful to fact-check these posts, I decided to do a bit of research.  There's more to the story, and you'll find it here:

Did you read any of the link you posted?

"This page is about the death of a nice person, who died of a disease he tried to do something positive to combat, unlike most of the sites directing people here. This post is nothing to do with their ideas. It will not help you."

In other words, let's get all emotional and disregard reality.

It is sad to see anyone die from this terrible world-changing disease.  There are people scrambling on both sides of this question to find anything that will support their position.

Unfortunately, only time will tell who is correct on this topic.  If you believe in vaccinations then you should take them and know that you have the protection that they offer.  If you are vaccinated they you do not need to worry any longer about those vaccine deniers as your vaccine will protect you from them and the disease that they may carry.  If you are one who does not believe in the science of Dr Fauci then you just have to wait for about 2 years and if you are correct the world will have millions of fewer democrats to argue with.

To me, this is a silly subject to get upset with friends about.  My friends who have taken the vaccination are still my friends.  Out of politeness, I do not send them memes or posts about the risk of any problems with vaccines just like I do not send them jokes about cheating wives if their wife runs around on them.

As intelligent individuals I think that we need to just agree to disagree on this point no matter which side that you are on with this issue.  Unfortunately, there will be no winners in this.  We are all subject to the restrictions and abuse of power inflicted on us by those determining that the virus comes out at 9 pm or that a 1 mill mask from Auto Mercado is going to stop an aerosol virus.

Time will tell.  Pura Vida.  Enjoy the sun and beautiful weather and be glad that we are here in paradise.

Keith, I agree completely with you.  Even sadder still is the knowledge that tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, have died needlessly because governments withheld effective treatments.  That is criminal.

Hi Keith,

Well said!  I was not particularly worried about getting COVID-19 nor dying from it, but I did get vaccinated at 1st opportunity and my wife has now been vaccinated.  I don't get bent out of shape about those who worry more about a vaccination than a disease -- everyone makes their choices and they are the ones who must live with them.  Whether or not someone else is vaccinated affects me very little. For me the odds seemed obvious and my family and I are going with the odds.  I started wearing seat belts in cars because of the odds when one year I noticed the stats from the state I was living in at the time where (I think it was) out of 488 people who died in car wrecks that year and only 44 of them were wearing seat belts.  Similarly I quit smoking tobacco when I woke up one morning after a long weekend of partying and heavy smoking and I got winded trying to chase down a calf who had gotten out of the fence.  Odds are better of dying of lung cancer if you smoke cigarettes, but not everyone who smokes cigarettes dies of lung cancer and not everyone who dies of lung cancer smokes cigarettes.  My very own little sister died from lung cancer and she never smoked a cigarette in her entire life.

Wise advice about the cheating wives business.  I told a friend who worked off-shore month on / month off about how his wife's boyfriend was already in his bed before his plane even had a chance to take off and he refused to believe me.  He even got quite huffy accusing me lying and trying to make things up.  A year or two later he realized the truth and got rid of the bitch, but he was definitely not ready to hear the truth when I thought I was being a good friend and letting him know.

We do have a nice sun out today, enough to encourage me to get out and prepare for a new garden spot where I plan to grow all the types of hot peppers for which I can find seeds.

Have a good day, everyone!

Sam

I'm not so sure that we will know anymore a year from now than we do today. Even if hundred's of millions of people die governments will call it something else and do everything they can to cover it up.

Don has already made his choice. He's free to do whatever he thinks is best. It's his life. I post information for people who are still deciding what they should do so they can make a informed decision. It is necessary to do this because all of the doctors and medical researchers who are against the vaccine are censored. At the same time everytime I turn on the TV it's all they talk about, frieghtening people and urging them to get vaccinated. I have never seen so much propaganda in my entire life. I honestly don't know what to make of it. I just know that it's not normal and that it's fundamentally wrong to deny people their individual rights.

That happened to me once. My girlfriend's own brother told me that when I was away on one my trips there would sometimes be a car parked in my driveway overnight. My response was that I didn't want to hear about it. There were two reasons for this. The first is that love implies trust. The second is that I have seen far more relationships ruined by jealosy than by infidelty. You either love somebody, or you don't. You either trust somebody, or you don't. There was also another resaon which that she was also there waiting for me with open arms when I got back.

Eventually as fate would have it I arrived home unexepectantly one night and there was a car in my driveway and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack and that was the end of our relationship. But nothing lasts forever and it was great while it lasted. The truth was that she wanted to get married and, as beautiful and sexy as she was, she wan't very bright and I had no intention of marrying her.
