SAP ERP Kafka connect

Hi All,

Can any one tell me is there any kafka-connect for SAP(not for SAP Hana)?

I'm not aware of a community Connector, but there are commercial vendors such as Attunity who can integrate with SAP into Kafka.

Hi,

you can implement this by yourself. Best you use a Workflow engine event and call the Kafka Connect REST proxy from the event handler implementation. For an overview you can look at slide 52: https://www.slideshare.net/SbgMartin/tag17-ozapft-is-daten-zapfen-leicht-gemacht 

(just the headline in German ;))

Be aware that SAP may charge you for indirect usage as you are processing SAP data with non SAP applications. Read-only seems to be okay but if you have the way back it might be a problem.
