Please see below.   This sounds like a great trip !!

 

I don’t have a Weta but would tow the Blade down.   I am sure we could twist enough arms to get a “Cat” start too.

We have been looking at finding a date to host a Weta get together in Ithaca this summer.  Richard Stephens has graciously worked with the Ithaca Yacht club to identify August 26-27, 2023 as dates that work for the club.  Richard has suggested a "two-day event with a sail to Taughannock state park for a picnic, and informal racing around fixed marks. There is plenty for non-sailing partners/families to do in the area, and they are welcome to join social events. There won't be any race committee or scoring or anything like that.  We can do a cook-out at the club Saturday evening. It should be possible to allow tent camping on the club lawn."  This sounds perfect for a low key, fun event.  

 

I have added several other multihull sailors to this email hoping that they will consider joining this event.  I know I am probably missing some folks, so please feel free to forward to others.  Please reply to this email with your availability to attend by June 4th.  A big shout out to Richard for doing all the legwork.

We are planning to do another Ithaca trip this year August 24-25, 2024.  Last year was a lot of fun with great food and sailing.  Please let me know if you plan to join us.
