BTS Warm Up - Saturday 9/2

Folks,                                                                                                                                                 

 

I was on the lake today and realized we should do a BTS warm up this Saturday.   One would argue the forecast doesn’t get much better than this. 

 

Happy to host a race.   Who is in?   I’ll need to know soon to set up a course.

Sorry not synergy. We’re tapped out from sailing to the dam yesterday. 25nm round trip from our camp. Maybe the most challenging sail of my life. Wind gets crazy up there.

Haha Bill I have no working motor and no crew so yes I would have space for crew but can probanly do without an outboard!  (Its been a while so we shall see if I can still run the tub).  So Dan I am in!

Last call for boats.   We have 3 and would need a few more to run an event.

 

I know there is a Sunfish regatta but if you don’t have a Sunfish, this would be a meager substitute.   Just saying …..

It looks like we could have 6 boats for tomorrow.   Does a 3pm (post Sunfish relay) start work for everyone?

 

If we have 6 (DK, JG, TR, AW, TD, DW) I will send out a course.    Please confirm.

Two possible courses attached.   Lake level is 763.68 so plenty of water around the marks.   Channel 68.

For those that made it out, thanks for joining in.   I hope all had as much fun as I did.   It was a great day on the water and some close racing with 37 seconds between 1st and 2nd.    If I have it all correct, attached are the results.

 

I don’t ever get to beat Aaron aboard Sweven.   I want to thank the wind Gods for a boost in breeze on the back half of the run from G9 to N2.    Without it, I would have been toast.

 

If you missed today, next week is the BTS.   Let’s get prepped to go!
