Folks,

 

It looks like it will be a very nice sailing day on Saturday; 12 knots gusting to 15 knots with temps in the mid 70’s.   Wind is forecasted to be out of the West so there are plenty of options for picking a good course.

 

If folks are interested, let me know and we’ll set something up.

Hey everyone just FYI this Saturday is the Ladies Day Race.  We may want to look at doing the comm fleet Sunday at noon instead.  Both days look great for weather and wind.  Sweven is FINALLY in to race.

Folks,

 

Since it is going to be such a nice day on the lake, I am thinking a longer course with a little bit of everything.   Take a look at course 7X (attached) and let me know.   I hate to give Joe a chance to fly that spinnaker on a long run but if we have a couple of Hobies and a couple of Corsairs, it should be a good course for everyone.   With the lake still above 764, there is still plenty of water everywhere so “N9” shouldn’t be a problem. 

 

I am targeting a 1pm sequence start and I’ll be on the porch no later than 11:30 to answer any questions.   Once on the water, VHF channel 68 will be what you will hear me on.

Well, I know I can keep out of the way of a right away boat.   Unfortunately, I usually do it by trailing the fleet around the course.

 

Kidding aside, we will be sharing the lake tomorrow with the MYC Ladies’ race.    We’ll identify those boats racing and make sure we give the ladies clear air for their event.

Folks,

 

I have been keeping my eye on the weather system moving its way to and through our area.   The latest I have seen is the last of it should move out later tonight or early tomorrow. 

 

What I am trying to say is safety first and a day time decision tomorrow if conditions warrant it.
