I am forwarding you an appeal to nominate Pandit Ramdas Palsule(from COEP 1984 batch) Tabla Maestro, for the prestigious Padmashree award!

Please, do spare some time from your busy schedule to nominate him online by registering on MHA site for nominating online for Padma awards.

The detailed procedure and guidelines are available in the pdf file sent to you. You will have to register yourself on the MHA site (https://applypadma.mha.gov.in) and thereafter complete the nomination form as explained in the pdf file.

I have completed the procedure and observed that the site was bit slow during working hours. Therefore, I recommend you to do the needful in the off working hours or on Saturday/ Sunday but positively before the last date of submitting the nomination i.e.15 th September 2021.

Thank you for sending this. A quick question if you know the answer. Should we just copy paste nomination details or we are expected to change a bit so every nomination does not look exactly same?

Hello Everyone, 

It took less than 15 minutes, 6 steps for me to submit the nomination. Below is a cheat sheet (in case you are too busy to open the pdf).

• Grab a cup of tea, coffee, a glass of panha or beer :))  - the site is bit slow so have patience
• I have attached text files for your convenience (I had to edit the text a bit due to 5000 characters/800 words limit)
• If the website is not responsive (it doesn't give you an error message), refresh the page and login again.
• Please DO NOT start a new nomination if you had one in process and get logged out, see the screenshot below.

Also, for NRI's the OTP works with email than cell as found a hard way. Ramdas suggested to use email instead of phone and that worked.

Thank you Ashish. My motto is, if I can't even take a cold shower, let me at least appreciate who have climbed everest or are trying to climb.

Manjusha, Thank you for the kind words and submitting before deadline! Another difficulty we NRIs have to overcome is to clean the 5000 square foot house and maintain the 10000 square foot garden ourselves, not going to even mention laundry and dishes :). It really takes a lot to find that 15 minutes so really appreciate you squeezing this in your schedule at the last minute.
