Hi!

We are running (quite a large) drupal site with a mysql DB backend, running in a master/slave config. Drupal configured to talk only to the master mysql, failover to the slave being a manual procedure.

The many benefits of moving to a mysql/mariadb galera cluster are of course obvious, however, we cannot find much (up-to-date) documentation and experiences about it. Google pointed to some older posts (2012), that mention potential issues related to caching and deadlocks.

I would like to ask here: Is anyone here running drupal with a galera cluster DB backend? Are the reports and warnings from groups.drupal.org / reddit still relevant..? Or does the silence from the last years simply mean that issues have been resolved, and many people are using it nowadays?

Some hands-on experiences and feedback here would be appreciated, before I start an actual PoC myself.

Thanks for any feedback!

MJ

Hi all,

No replies at all... Really no one here with *any* recent feedback, positive or negative, regarding drupal with mariadb/galera?

MJ
