I saw reference to this in another post about a week ago.

Windows UWP builds are failing because of a certificate problem:

     [exec] (_CreateMainPackage target) ->
     [exec] C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v14.0\AppxPackage\Microsoft.AppXPackage.Targets(3484,5): error APPX0108: The certificate specified has expired. For more information about renewing certificates, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=241478. [C:\Users\CODENA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\build1570563615258608178xxx\TestProject\UWPProject\UWPApp\UWPApp.csproj]

It was suggested creating your own certificate would work around this issue but I am not registered with the Windows Store yet, that seems to be a prerequisite for generating a certificate.

Any idea when Windows UWP builds will be working again?

Thanks

This will be fixed this Friday.
As far as I recall registration to the windows store is free now but I might be mistaken.

How would you specify a Microsoft certificate in the build settings. I don't see a specific area in for uwp in the codename one settings in eclipse (I have the latest plugin) - there is one for ios, Android, RIM, J2ME, Win and Javascript - the Win one does not have anything in it and is what was always there for the old WinPhone builds pre-UWP.

I think Paul is still referring to the old preferences UI instead of the new Codename One Settings UI in the Codename One right click menu...

Hi guys,

after 2 weeks waiting for server update the result is still the same:

     [exec] "C:\Users\CODENA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\build2748453121598677799xxx\TestProject\UWPProject\UWPApp\UWPApp.csproj" (default target) (1) ->
     [exec] (_CreateMainPackage target) ->
     [exec] C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v14.0\AppxPackage\Microsoft.AppXPackage.Targets(3484,5): error APPX0108: The certificate specified has expired. For more information about renewing certificates, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=241478. [C:\Users\CODENA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\build2748453121598677799xxx\TestProject\UWPProject\UWPApp\UWPApp.csproj]

How to solve/workaround the certificate issue pls?
(I tried to generate certificate using cn1 windows wizard but w/o success, the error message is the same, seems like my cert is ignored ...)

thanks

Ivan

I just tried a build without providing a certificate and it worked fine.  Perhaps the problem is with the certificate that you provided.

I have updated my eclipse plugin and I do now see the new Codename One Settings option and the dialog/wizard available. Good... however, I went to do a build and the option to build seems to have gone... will try a clean eclipse install when I get change - unless someone else has seen this and it's a known issue

By gone I mean that when you right click the project, choose codename one and you get the submenu, all I see is

Send Android build
Sen IOS Debug build
Sent IOS App store build
Send RIM build
Send Windows Phone build
Send J2ME build
Sen Javascript
Send Desktop Mac
Send Desktop Windows
CodenameOne settings
Run Tests
Refresh cn1libs Libs
Webservice Wizard

That must have broken with our latest update. We'll try to fix it this Friday.
