which has an example date pattern
"yyyy.MM.dd G 'at' HH:mm:ss z"
This barfs with the message:
[EDT] 0:0:0,1 - Exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - Illegal pattern character: t
Doesn't seem to like the 'at'

It seems the class doesn't support quoting. You can file an issue about that and we'll look into it.
