Hi Codename One community. I have developed a java Desktop application for personal health tracking. Now I would like to have a mobile version of my application using Codename One, what is the first step I should do? Should I create a Codename project first then adding a new folder containing the Java files?
Will it be possible to convert the desktop java application to codename One?

I'm still Confused, which one will be faster and simpler for me, starting Codename One project from scratch or converting the java project to codename?

Hi,
you will need to create a new project in Codename One and transfer files one by one.
In the interest of being portable and small Codename One removed many things from Java SE proper. If you used Swing the transition should be really easy as Codename One is very similar to that.

Maybe, it depends on the size and complexity of the starting project.  Codename1 is "like" swing, but it's not swing,
and doesn't try to be.   My write up is still incomplete, but I have over 100 "bridge" classes to paper over the differences,
and lots of small bits of functionality borrowed from regular java.

It's still a good approach, but not a bed of roses, especially if you want to maintain some semblence of
source compatibility with the desktop version.
