Swing JTabbedPane look and feel

Is it possible to render a TAB as in Javax.swing.JTabbedPane?

Please see attached pic. (Note the horizontal spacing between tabs and the slightly rounded corners)

You can use 9-piece image borders for the background of Tab. Spacing is just a matter of setting the padding correctly.
