Free accounts are useless for anything except verifying the tools are working for you.
The usage limits on free accounts are so severe that you can't even build most of the demos.

Nonsense.
Your apps are ridiculously large even when compared to the pro/enterprise subscribers. You chose to take a desktop app and cram it into a phone and you project that this is a limitation.

We see the statistics and quite a large number of developers use the free tier to build decent apps without a problem. The restrictions is on your code/resources only which leaves a lot of space for additional code especially if you use things like the builtin material icons and a relatively clean theme. Pretty much all of our demos fit in that space and with the new cocoapods support a lot of the cn1libs will also shrink further.

I reiterate, you can't even build most of the demos, and the number of builds permitted is inadequate
to support even modest development, especially for a beginner.

Unlike your personal opinions I can actually see the factual statistics and numbers that back this.
You can send 100 builds every month which is a HUGE number of builds. You are talking about iOS builds which have a harder quota but 90% of our users start with Android and this number is higher for the free users.

All our demos work well under the free quota with the exception of Kitchen Sink which is REALLY old. We'll fix that on the rewrite of that demo.

As you must have figured by now your project is totally atypical and doesn't represent the average in any way, shape or form.
