New android builds show blank Black screen

Hi all
All of a sudden..my Android app is displaying black blank screen... With no errors nothing. Three days ago all was fine. Something changed on server?

Just to be sure..I created a simple Hello world with same results.

It works fine in simulator. My device is galaxy s4 running 4.2.2.

After reading other posts..it seems this is related to the android upgrade.

I'm experiencing the same problem, This happened at the wrong time when I have to demo an app to some investors.

I think the error is coming from the build server.

See if using android.asyncPaint=false in the build arguments works around the issue for now.

The only problem now is the TitleArea, which is blank.

The build hint worked. Except textfield now don't show text when virtual keyboard is used.

This is taking us longer than expected to resolve we are trying to conditionally revert the code until we can properly reproduce the issues people are running into. Hopefully things should return to the state prior to the change later today.

I know you guys are working to get this resolved, but just to let you know, I just sent a new build with hints android.oldTarget=true, android.asyncPaint=false , but still the textfield/textarea shows blank when focused and typing in  virtual keyboard : Android 4.2.2, Galaxy  s4 mini.

After multiple attempts we decided to revert the work and Chen will take a completely different direction.
This will go in tomorrow since reverting just those specific changes is a huge task in its own.

I am having this exact problem in 2018. The app works perfectly on the simulator after the build i just get a blank black screen on my device.

HELP IT IS URGENT!

That means you have an exception. Look at the logs in DDMS.

Strangely, all my builds since this morning started showing blank black screen on device!. Works fine on simulator. My app uses google maps. A few days ago it was working fine.  No exceptions in the logs. Am stuck with what to do.

You connected a cable and don't see anything?
Check that your keys haven't expired or exceeded Google's quotas. They made changes to the way billing works and free quotas are much lower now.

Yes...i had a physical cable and couldn't see anything strange. The quotas were fine too. Whatever that was going on, must have been temporary, new builds as of today are no longer having the issue.

We didn't deploy anything to the servers since last weekend so it must have been a Google issue.
