CodenameOne plugin loses project control (maven migrated)

I have IntelliJ Idea installed both on Linux machine and OSX machine.

In both cases I experienced that the CodenameOne plugin is installed but it loses grip on the project (maven migrated) and many things are red.

Then the CN plugin seems not to be installed anymore and has to be reinstalled but it does not regain control of the project and many things are in red.

Update or settings are not useful.

What can be done?

If you're using maven the Codename One plugin isn't applicable. You don't need it installed.

The plugin is only relevant to the old ant build. All of its functionality can be invoked via maven targets.
