Today, while looking for the reported Short-eared Owl we found one dead west of e-470 and east of tower on 96th. It had a blow to the back of the head..It was a fresh kill as rigamortis and yet to set in. It was a sad start to our day!!! We decided to take this beautiful bird to the Museum of Nature and Science
