American Widgeon in Washington Park, Denver?

Early this morning I was walking my dogs around Grassmere Lake in Washington Park (South of downtown Denver) and three small ducks flew in. I believe they were 2 male and 1 female American Widgeon. However, the sun was just barely up and I cannot be sure. I did see the white markings on the male and heard the call. If anyone is out and about and can confirm please respond.
