to Colorado Birds
A somewhat slower day than the last few, with fewer species.  39 new birds:

Eurasian-collared Dove 1 (remain surprised at how HUGE these guys are!)
House Wren 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
Wilson's Warbler 30
White-crowned Sparrow (Gambel's) 1

We are open 6 days per week, weather permitting. Our next closed day is Mon, 9/14. This Saturday is the Barr Lake Birding Festival, with lots of family oriented activities and bird hikes and lots of visitors to the banding station.

We are opening nets at 6:30, and will run until noon or whenever it gets too hot. School groups arrive about 9:30 a.m. most weekdays. It is wise to come early to beat the school groups and for more/better birds.
