Seeking recommendation to bird this Thur/Fri

Hi everyone.  I have a chance to get away for a night and wonder where might be good for a change of pace birding-wise.  Up to 3 hours or so from Boulder is the plan.  Seems early for lek activity or I'd try for that.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks, Jeff

Lewellen Nebraska is also about three hours and lots of cranes, not so many people. We're headed there next weekend.
