I discovered a male COMMON REDPOLL embedded in a large flock of Pine Siskins at my feeding tray this snowy Saturday morn. Unfortunately, when I went to retrieve my camera the bird had flushed and hasn't been spotted since. I'll keep a sharp eye for it today, as I hope given the weather conditions and the numbers of birds, it will show again.

The storm has also brought small flocks of Cassin's Finches and Evening Grosbeaks. These species have seemingly been rare in at least this part of WP/Teller Co. since last spring.

On Friday morning, a probable Northern Goshawk hastened over Highway 24 in WP.
