CFO convention: news, updates, and impending deadlines

Hi, all. Can you believe it?--The CFO convention is less than 2 months away. Here are some announcements and updates:

1. The Apr. 7 deadline for early registration is fast approaching. Register now to avoid late fees, and to sign up for your favorite field trips. Get started by checking out the convention's general information page, and then go to the detailed descriptions of the field trips, including leaders, participants, driving directions, and more.

2. The deadline to submit an abstract for the convention's science session is likewise fast approaching: Apr. 8. If you are interested in presenting, please consult the online Call for Papers. The science session is one of the major highlights of the convention; held on Saturday afternoon, it is open to all convention registrants.

3. Have you seen the official 2016 CFO Convention Art? This evocative painting appears on the commemorative t-shirt, brochures, and other convention items. The art is by Radeaux (Mark Yaeger), well known in the Colorado birding community for his contributions to the Colorado Breeding Bird Atlas.
