Hi all.
I just wanted to relay some information. I spoke with Ranger Randy with Pawnee National Grassland around 330pm this afternoon. I was told that the campground will most likely be closed until the middle of next week depending on rain or lack thereof between now and then. However, it is perfectly acceptable to park in the area just off of CR77 when you first pull in. He said there was no problem walking down into the park and campground areas from there. I get the distinct impression that a swimsuit or chest waders might be good courses of action. Either way, Derek Hill and I are going to brave it early tomorrow. We'll post updates if anything exciting is there.
