to Colorado Birds
This morning Erin Youngberg and I heard and saw a minimum of three singing Baird's sparrows at Soapstone Prairie Natural Area, in northern Larimer County. Two of the birds can be seen from the SE corner of the Pronghorn Trail Loop, north of the closed gate to the Plover Trail. The site is easiest reached from the south parking lot, walking east along the Pronghorn Trail. It's about 3.2 miles each way, so bring lots of water and get an early start if you want to see them.
