I went to Bohn park to look for it. Found a noisy Hairy but it was definitely not a YB sapsucker.
Not sure I was in the right spot. Drove across the big field to the SW area.
However I studied an intriguing perching hawk which I can't id. Mid-sized, clean white undersides with small subtle rufous spots on the sides. Did not see it in flight and had no view of the back. The head looked drab, light colored. Ferrug?
