El Paso county American dipper (picture)

I saw and photographed an American dipper at Fountain Creek Nature center on Saturday, Feb 22. The bird was at the dam on Fountain creek and slightly upstream of it. I have long thought this would be a good spot for dippers but have never seen one there.

The usual ducks were around, the only other surprising thing was the large number of people with very big lenses on their cameras (much bigger than mine!) who had seen a Virginia rail near the bridge between the ponds.
