There were several nice birds at Barr Lake this evening, namely a Black Scoter and two Dunlin. Both were viewed from about a half mile out on the exposed lakebed. Also present were thousands of geese (including a Greater White-fronted, four Snow, a Cackling x Ross's, and a Snow x Ross's), several thousand waterfowl, and a similar number of gulls (mostly Ring-billed, but several California, Herring, and a Lesser Black-backed as well). Also of interest was a Dark-lored White-crowned Sparrow.
