Eastern Bluebird Pair

Yesterday SE of San Luis, I glassed two Eastern Bluebirds at a residence. It was on the road to Sanchez Reservoir (Costilla County).  This is only the third record for the species in the San Luis Valley, so far as I know, with the first records reported last year on March 17th (2 records on the same day)! So with this pair yesterday our migration window sits at March 17-March 18th! I find that quite interesting that it would be so close from one year to the next. 

As I glassed these birds, a lady emerged from the residence with uncertainty until I allayed her fears and told her I was just a weird birder! She felt better and wished me well.
