Lory State Park birding (Larimer)

Hi there,
My dad and I are looking to do some birding in the Fort Collins/Loveland area this Thursday. While I have lived and birded in FoCo for several years I tend to stick to natural areas in town with the occasional trip to Bobcat. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a dog-friendly yet birdy trail somewhere in Lory State Park. Cheers.
