Last Chance[at the intersection of highway 36 and 71 was not as birdy yesterday as I thought it might be. I think some of the birds there were still land bound from Saturday. In no specific order were : 1 gorgeous m. Blue Grosbeak, 3, Yellow Warblers, 2, Northern Waterthrush [after seeing one, I heard the loud call of another nearby], 1, Nashville Warbler, 3, Yellow-throated Warbler, 2, Wilson's warbler, 1, Western Wood-Pewee, at least 4, Western Kingbird, 5, Red-winged Blackbird, and 2, Lark Sparrow. Many Common Grackle and Eurasian Collared Dove were present. The wind was severe and most birds stayed real, real, low to the ground. Surprisingly not one Thrush was at Last Chance nor a Brown Thrasher.
